Everyone Has a Story.

The greater the love, the greater the loss.

All of us, with our unique personalities and circumstances, respond to loss very differently. Each one of us will journey in grief at our own pace. It takes outrageous courage to face outrageous loss. This is what we are called to do.

Keep Moving Forward was birthed out of this place.

Our Board of Directors

Robin & Jill Lyle

Robin and Jill’s youngest son, Jase, was involved in a car accident on April 26, 2022 in which he suffered a traumatic brain injury. He died 16 days later on May 11. Jase was 24 years old at the time. He was in the process of getting his English degree and loved to write … stories, songs, and one day, a novel. Jase had a tattoo on the right side of his chest that read, “KEEP MOVING FORWARD.” It was his mission statement. He modeled it, chose it, and lived it out. Jase had four older brothers — Randy, Jaron, Josiah, and Reese.

Robin and Jill have been married for over 40 years and currently are worship leaders at their church. They love music, traveling, gardening, and spending time with their grandson, Beckham. They established Keep Moving Forward in 2024 to honor Jase and to be a ministry of hope to those having experienced a loss of a loved one. It is their intention to provide safe, comfortable, free, and beautiful places of respite for those in need.

Their first location for these types of retreats is Crossing Waters Ranch in Tolar, Texas. They hope to accommodate many who are searching for a place to rest their weary, fatigued hearts and renew their strength to keep moving forward in this lifelong journey of grief.

Kim & Dez Harless

April 21, 1994, Dez discovered how close her heavenly Father was as He held her securely at the death of her first husband, Tom, from a motor vehicle accident. God brought her comfort and peace as she navigated the path of grief while raising her two young children, and her eventual remarriage. Then on September 2, 2010, God once again revealed His faithfulness as the family walked through the sudden death of her adult, married son, Eric. Watching his young wife and four-month-old son struggle with grief while also grieving the loss of her son was excruciating. But God……..

Kim & Dez Harless have four children, one in heaven, and ten grandchildren. They consider it God’s amazing gift to have Eric’s wife, her husband and subsequent children as family. They have continued to serve their faithful and mighty Lord, Kim as a pastor and Dez as a children’s teacher and as listening ears and praying hearts for those dealing with loss.

Rick & Joan Blinn

Samuel Kyung Blinn was Rick and Joan’s 5th child of 13. He was their only adopted child. He had profound medical challenges. He never walked or spoke a word, but his smile would light up the room. Doctors expected Sam to live no more than 15 years. Sam lived to be 33, far exceeding their predictions. He passed away in June of 2020, without any real warnings. Sam had 4 sisters, 8 brothers and many nieces and nephews, who all loved him. Sam was famous for his “huh”, which he said with enthusiasm. We all agreed that it meant, “I love you.” God graciously gave us the strength and ability to care for Sam in the midst of our oversized family. The Lord has met us in our grief with His comfort, His presence, and His loving-kindness. Our hope and confidence is that He will meet you as well. Rick and Joan have been married for 48 years and anticipate God’s goodness and His ability to redeem even your greatest sorrow.
