Even when you can’t do everything, the anything you can do is enough.
The desire to succeed can, at times, be overwhelming. Wanting so desperately to leave the world a better place than you found it; to have some sort of impact on the lives of future generations; to leave a legacy behind that matters. In pursuit of our calling, though, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking we need to be able to do everything at once. Panic at the thought that there simply is not enough time in the day, in the weeks, in the years that we are given, and we simply can’t change the world fast enough or in a big enough way.
Falling into the trap of thinking that we must be able to do everything can be as dangerous as doing nothing at all. When the panic and the fear of being remembered as a less than impactful human being sets in, remember that the anything you are able to do on this day, in this hour, right at this moment, is enough. You are changing the world piece by piece in simply desiring to make it a better place. Don’t be paralyzed by an inability to do everything today, instead, rejoice and find purpose in knowing that the anything you can do right now is more than enough.
You are enough…so start acting like it.
